A Graduate in Structural Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai, Narayanan Kameswaran has over 19 years' experience in both Structural Design Consulting as well as Design & Development of packaged CADD Applications applied to the domains of Architectural, Engineering, Construction (AEC) and Civil & Structural Engineering.

Narayanan Kameswaran has handled several Structural Design Projects varying from Multistorey Residential Buildings to RCC & Prestressed Concrete Highway & Railway Bridges, Stadia Structures, Wind Mill Towers, Transmission Line & Antenna Towers, Space Grids and structural systems related to the Oil & Gas industry.  He also has a number of Technical Publications to his credit.

Secured Bharathiar University First Rank (1984-88) in Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and received the Gold Medal.

Secured the Best Project Award at the State Level from the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madras, for the project work done at the undergraduate level on Planning and Design of a Distillery.

Master of Engineering Research: An Expert System for Analysis, Design, Drafting and Material Estimation of Steel Structures (SD-EXPERT). This thesis was the first of its kind on Steel Structures which involved the development of the Knowledge-Based Expert System SD-EXPERT and was adjudged as the Best Thesis of the Year (1991).
