Frequently
Asked Questions (and Answers!)
Q.
What
are the functions of SCADDS/RC-Slab Drafter?
A. SCADDS/RC-Slab
Drafter is meant for automatic preparation of detailed floor plans showing
reinforcement details based on IS codes and handbooks as well as on
sound engineering practice.
Q. What
are the additional functions of SCADDS/RC-Slab Drafter?
A. SCADDS/RC-Slab
Drafter can also prepare different types of layouts such as, Grid layouts,
Beam-Column layouts, Column-Footing Layouts and similar combinations.
Q. Will
SCADDS/RC-Slab Drafter carry out detailing automatically?
A. Yes!
You can obtain a truly professional detailed drawing for a typical floor
having, say, 15 panels, in less than 25 minutes flat! That too, to any
scale of your choice with your own custom drafting standards, using
AutoCAD. Curtailment, extension and bending of rods are automatically
taken care of as per Codal provisions and therefore, you do not have
to provide any input for these parameters. Moreover, you can also control
these parameters to meet your custom detailing requirements. All such
extensions and curtailments will be fully dimensioned so that the site
engineer can understand the drawings with absolute ease.
Q. What
is the input required to be given for detailing a multipanel slab or
floor?
A. You
will have to provide the number of column nodes & their coordinates,
no. of panels & their boundary conditions, reinforcement details
and details for location of beams along edges. SCADDS/RC-Slab Drafter
also provides you with utilities using which you can generate repeatedly
used data for select parameters.
Q. What
is the output generated by SCADDS/RC-Slab Drafter?
A. The
output will be of multiple choice type. This means that with the same
input data, you can generate different drawings for reinforcement details
for the whole floor, Grid layouts, Beam-Column layouts, Column-Footing
Layouts and similar combinations.
