SCADDS/Bridge
SuperCAD Release 2.1
This package
is meant for Load Estimation, Analysis, Design & fully automatic
Drafting of Tee Beam Superstructures for Reinforced Concrete Multilane
Right Bridges as per IS, IRC and Ministry of Transport (Roads Wing)
specifications.
This suite
bundles two products:
SCADDS/Bridge
Superstructure Analyst, performs Load Estimation
and Analysis of T-Beam Superstructures of Reinforced Concrete Multilane
Bridges as per IS, IRC and Ministry of Transport (Roads Wing)
specifications.
SCADDS/Bridge Superstructure Designer, performs
Design and Drafting of T-Beam Superstructures of Reinforced
Concrete Multilane Bridges as per IS, IRC and Ministry of Transport
(Roads Wing) specifications.
SCADDS/Bridge SuperCAD,
bundles the above two products through a single User Interface.
SCADDS/Bridge
SuperCAD had
won the ACCE Award for the year 1995 for the Best
Software Package in Civil Engineering, constituted by the
Association of Consulting Civil Engineers.
Presently,
these individual products are on MS-DOS® platform
and controlled through a Windows® 95/98 User
Interface.
You can
download the Trial Version of the entire suite from the Downloads

Frequently
Asked Questions (and Answers!)
Q.
What does SCADDS/Bridge SuperCAD do?
A. SCADDS/Bridge SuperCAD is a software
package for performing Load Estimation, Analysis, Design and Drafting
of Tee Beam Superstructures for Reinforced Concrete Multilane Right
Bridges as per IS, IRC and Ministry of Transport (Roads Wing) Specifications.
Q. Why should SCADDS/Bridge SuperCAD be used
though standard (ready-made) designs for bridge structures for select
spans are already available?
A. SCADDS/Bridge SuperCAD is a completely
generalized software package to design RCC Bridge Superstructures such
as deck slab panels, longitudinal girders and transverse girders. Through
the implementation of totally generalized and highly sophisticated analysis
and design algorithms, innumerable types/conditions/geometric variations,
with respect to the slab panel sizes, sectional dimensions of longitudinal
and transverse girders and their relative locations can be easily analyzed,
designed and detailed within minutes.
The standard
(ready-made) designs available are very limited in their scope as only
typical dimensional variations are considered while preparing such designs.
It has been observed that many times, these designs fail to fully satisfy
the actual requirements and preferences of the Bridge Engineer and by
using such ready-made
designs, the Bridge Engineer is forced to change his preferences to
suit the provisions/limitations available in such ready-made designs.
Hence, SCADDS/Bridge SuperCAD is the obvious choice of any Bridge Engineer
whose creativity and goal to provide economical design solutions cannot
be compromised with ready-made solutions which were, in fact, developed
only to act as guidelines for t
