Right
from the inception of STRUCT CADD SECTOR, continuous Research and Development
activities are being carried out to standardize the features that should
be incorporated in all software solutions offered to the society of
Civil & Structural Engineering Design.
The
various R&D activities include areas such as fully automated Structural
Drafting through AutoCAD, highly sophisticated and user-friendly User
Interfaces with truly innovative features, standardization of efficient
data structures for day-to-day programming tasks, efficient and fast
multi-color graphics in 2D and 3D, GUIs, Artificial Intelligence based
data validation, data structures for finite element techniques, and
so on.
An
Object Oriented Application Framework having several Artificial Intelligence
(AI) based tools, code-named SCADDSapp, has been successfully
developed for superfast development of Engineering Software Packages.
These AI tools are being trademarked as What-Next? Advisor, What-If?
Explorer, Why? Narrator and Intelli-Validator.
The
various CADD software applications being developed are being branded
under the SCADDS SERIES, which is the trademarked acronym for
Structural Computer-aided Analysis, Design
& Detailing System.
These
tools are being expanded and all of their system components are also
being upgraded from time to time to reflect the latest changes occurring
in the developed world, on the CADD application front.
